Just books - Avid reader plan
Changed my membership in Just books to Avid Reader plan. 4 books at a time and home delivery. I had taken three books and my sweet little kid took one book
1. Body in the library - Agatha Christie
2. Finding the dream - Nora Roberts
3. The Witches - Roald Dahl.
Started with Witches. Half way through. Didnt get time to read for the past two days. Even though reached home early, got occupied with some or the other things and time fly like anything.
Today morning as I was too tired when coming to office. Hence went to campus for a fresh juice. The climate was too wavy and so sat there for half an hour, enjoyed the cool mango juice, read the book and became refreshed.
Dumms wanted to take book from the library as I take. First we took Barbie and the school day. Then after two days, we returned it adn then now the book in hand is "Thomas and Bertie"

~~~ A humle beginning ~~~
From childhood onwards, I was interested in reading books...But never read any good books at that time.. Didnt get a good start for reading and also there was no one to guide me as to what books to read ..
Even though we had an excellent library in the School, the librarian was a very strict lady and that fact itself made everyone of us hate the library period .. Dont remember anyone good book which I read from my library..
The only good books which I remember are the normal Balarama, Poompatta, Amar Chithra Katha etc which my amma used to get me.. I read all those with excitement...
As I started my college life started reading only text books and that continued to the whole 8 years...Haa ..Read some hardy boys, Enid blyton books which I borrowed from my friend who was an ardent reader.. I was really surprised to see the big collection of books which she had at home..
Again the text books and reference books were my companions and never ever felt reading other books..
When joined in Wipro, I started all over again.. It all started with a session which I attended and the discussion of books came and people started talking about the book 'The Alchemist'.. I was curious to know what is there in that book which is making people talk about it in such a great manner.
As soon as I got a chance, I hurried and borrowed it from library and started reading.. It changed my outlook to life and also to reading.. I started browsing books in library .. Also before taking a book, read the reviews in the net and only if I liked it , I took it from library..
In that flow I read many books ..Most of them were self-help books
Who moved my cheese
The Present
Fish
Monk who sold his ferrari and may more ..
Then started with small novels .. I tried reading Pride and prejudice and all..But it was too hard for me at that time ..Couldnt concentrate more on that ..Some how I got a feeling that people of my age should be reading those books..
I thank my co-sister for her guidance and advice ..My co-sister is a hard core reader and she guided me .. Time was a constraint to me .. Managing work-life balance was itself very tough .. Then where we get time to read books .. my co-sister suggetsed to read two or three pages a time which will count ..That gave me confidence in reading and I started with the books which she suggested ..
Also I understood that there is no particular age criteria for reading .. Which means, people of this age should be reading these books etc etc ..
So I started reading all sort of books and magazines..She provided me with many magazines ..
"Tinkle" is one of my favourites .. "Good House keeping" is another one ..
Now I thought I should note down the books which I am reading .. The sole purpose of this being helpful to people who doesnot have reading habit ..Just wanted to tell that there is no age limit to start reading .. just we need to have that child-like mentality to read and be in that world ..
Now a days I am behind Roald Dahl books .. Finished 'Charlie and the choclate factory' and 'Matilda". Somehow I liked Matilda very much so I am reading it the second time :)
Now the next in pipe-line is Fantastic Mr Fox. Should start it .. I need to note down the books which I read with some reviews also .. For my reference and also for anyone who likes to read
Happy reading !!
